Who is World Cup 2022 official Abdulrahman Al-Jassim, the referee for Croatia vs Morocco?

The World Cup third-place play-off between Croatia and Morocco is being overseen by Qatari referee Abdulrahman Al-Jassim today at the Khalifa International Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Since becoming a FIFA official in 2013, Al-Jassim has officiated just one game at the 2022 World Cup, a 1-1 draw between Wales and the USA in Group B on November 21. In that game, Gareth Bale was fouled in the area, and Al-Jassim awarded Wales a late penalty.
On Saturday, the 35-year-old will oversee his second game in his native country as we find out who places third in the competition.
Al-Jassim served as a video assistant referee for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He also served as the man in the middle for the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup final between Liverpool and Flamengo in Qatar, as well as the 2019 AFC Asian Cup and 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
